What can you expect from your virtual labor/birth doula?
Do you have a vision of what you imagine your birthing experience should be? Do you feel overwhelmed by the information and choices you have for your upcoming birth? Having an educated and trained birth doula who believes in your ability to achieve the best birth experience for you and your baby can ease the overwhelming feelings by ensuring you have support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth.
A virtual birth doula provides emotional and educational support to the birthing person before, during, and immediately following their birthing time. The birth doula will also be a resource for evidence-based information and will help the birthing person advocate for their informed decision-making power. A birth doula can also be a support for the birthing person’s partner or others invited to the birthing experience to ensure everyone has a positive memory of this amazing event.
Your doula will not:
– Provide any clinical/medical advice.
– Make decisions for you.
– Impose their philosophy/beliefs regarding birth on you.
– Judge your birthing choices/experience.
What can you expect from your virtual postpartum doula?
Have you heard of the 4th trimester of pregnancy? This phase is the first few months immediately following pregnancy and birth, and it’s a time when birthing people and their families should be able to depend on others to help make the transition to their new way of life easier. Having a postpartum doula, even if just for a couple of hours, can provide the support you need when you most need it.

Virtual Chrysalis | 20-hour Virtual Postpartum Doula Package

This postpartum doula package offers 20 hours of personalized, virtual/remote support during the 16 weeks following the birth of your baby/babies. These hours may be broken up as needed to best serve you, day or night. Hours should be scheduled in advance to ensure availability. Additional hours available at the rate of $40/hour.
Billing for Virtual Sessions
Daytime Support (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.): Time is billed as a 30-minute minimum per session and then in 15-minute increments thereafter, with a 1-hour minimum each day.
Nighttime Support (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.): Time is billed as a 1-hour minimum per session and then in 30-minute increments thereafter.
Common Schedules
Daytime Support: 3-4 sessions per day/4-5 days per week or 2-3 sessions per day/2-3 days per week for 3-6 weeks, amount of sessions per day and/or days per week higher in early weeks and reduced in later weeks
Nighttime Support: 1-3 sessions per night/1-3 nights per week for 1-3 weeks, amount of hours per night and/or nights per week higher in early weeks and reduced in later weeks
Virtual Psyche Care | Individual Postpartum Doula Hours
You may purchase individual virtual postpartum doula support as needed without committing to the virtual postpartum doula package.
- Daytime (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) $45/hour
- Nighttime (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) $50/hour
