Atala Doula Services clients say…
Knowledgeable, Calm, Caring

Being that this was my 5th baby, I thought my spouse and I had it all figured out and that we were prepared, but I was wrong. Things did not go as planned or how we would have imagined; I ended up needing a medical induction at 38 weeks. Gina shared wisdom that made our journey a thousand times better than it would have been otherwise. I will never forget her calm presence during labor – just what I needed to offset my nerves and the intensity of the situation.

Supportive, Prepared, Informative

I wanted someone to help keep my husband and I calm in labor and delivery. The candles Gina brought to the hospital were really great and truly helped create a calm environment. Gina is easy to talk to and always tried to understand my mental state by asking thought-provoking questions to ensure decision making was my own versus coerced. She gave me the pros and cons of decisions without trying to push me in one direction or another. Gina is so prepared and obviously really passionate about helping you in labor and delivery and making sure you are in charge, not anyone else. She doesn’t force her opinions, but seeks to clarify and support yours, so you both know what you are deciding and why and can feel confident in those decisions.

Calm, Supported, Comforting

I had a difficult pregnancy and was anxious about a painful or complicated labor and delivery. I wanted an advocate who could help me understand what to expect, keep me calm and comfortable, and stay with me through the duration of the process. Gina was organized and knowledgeable with a calm demeanor, so I knew I was in good hands. The workbook Gina provided was a helpful tool to get me to consider my thoughts and birth in ways I hadn’t considered, without feeling too overwhelming. She felt like a second mom to me, and talking through my labor and delivery fears with Gina was very therapeutic as she validated and assuaged a lot of those fears. If you hire Gina, you will be supported throughout your entire journey. I felt like I was the only person that mattered and comfortable being my authentic self with her, never judged for my fears, feelings, and decisions. She helped make my birth story be a positive one!

Listens, No Judgement, Prepared

I felt at ease when Gina expressed no judgements and normalized all the feelings I had about birth. She’s a great listener. She never pressured me to do anything. Gina knows how to doula. She is on your side with knowledge of how to manage the pain through natural methods. She has her tools and techniques ready and tailored to your individual needs.

Knowledgeable, Present, Reassuring

I wanted a VBAC and felt a doula would help me achieve this. Gina has personal VBAC experience, understands laboring and baby positions, and is very nice and calm. I knew I could turn to Gina for reassurance and for answers to any questions I had; she was very easy to talk to! She was just always there, 100% present, and that made me feel safe and at peace.

Caring, Knowledgeable, Amazing

Gina is very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. She asked questions that made us really think about our wants, needs, and plans. She helped me and my partner feel more prepared for the stages of labor and birth and taught us both coping mechanisms. She helped us think about and clarify our wants and needs, created a calm experience during labor, and reminded me of my wishes during and after labor. You will learn so much, be so well taken care of, and have such amazing support with Gina as your doula!
